BlueAlina Web Solutions
In college, I had a company. It had a name, a website and a very confident email signature. It was called BlueAlina Web Solutions, and its office was my hostel room.
I was already working part-time at Jagannath Polymers Pvt Ltd. Between classes I made calls and looked for clients. At night I built websites. I used a made-up company name because I thought nobody would hire a student. A company sounds bigger than a boy in a hostel room.
One day my friend Jograj and I went to meet Amit Pabuwal, a well-known trophy designer. I had my pitch ready. He listened, and he understood very quickly that I was not ready yet. I did not get the work.
He was right.
I kept going anyway. I did small freelance jobs and built a few websites. I even wrote a small ERP in ASP.NET for JPPL. It was rejected. Of course it was. I was a beginner and I knew almost nothing.
Looking back, those rejections were my real training. Nobody pays a beginner to learn, so I learned by building things nobody had asked for, and by hearing "no" until I understood why.
Today I build software for the same company that rejected my first ERP. This time, people use it.
